Yeap. The star of this post today. May i present to you, Beau.
"I want Beau to become a puppy again! Make Beau a puppy again please piao chiu." said my little niece.

This is her BTW. Such a poser.
"How would you like me to do that?" I replied, certain that she'll be lost for words.
But then, she answered: "Use magic! We must find the right magic!"
Ahhhhh, how nice would that be, if only i could...
Beau is 6 years old, that's 37 in human years. He's a mix between a German Shepard, a Bulldog, a Labrador and i think there's a poodle somewhere in there.
I first met Beau when i was 11 years old. I remembered wanting a pet sooo bad and after the rabbits my aunt bought me committed suicide, my cousin decided on getting me a dog.
this was him when he first came.
Beau was a nuisance and only sat when i offered him food(that's as obedient as he'll ever get). He destroyed everything he could. Plants, pots, shoes, flyers(which always made a mess), and clothes that fell off the hangers. I loved him anyway. During the weekends, i took him for walks, played with him, fed him, bathed him(nothing he loves more than a good bath) and even talked to him sometimes.

playful little rascal

Are ya looking at me? I said are ya looking at me!
But, as I entered secondary school, life became hectic and i started to neglect him. I mean he was fed, bathed and everything but no more usual walks or play time. He'd get excited and jumpy whenever I came out, expecting me to play with him but i just shoved him away. I feel so bad just thinking about it now. Luckily, he didn't lose spirit and was still as playful as ever.
I started appreciating him more after reading 'Marley & Me'. I can't bare the thought of losing him but that's what i'll have to go through in a few years time, whether i like it or not. They say that people only truly appreciate something when they lose it, but that's the biggest price they'll have to pay. I can't pay that price, so before anything happens to him(which i most definitely hope not), i pledge to play with him as often as i can, bath him every week(or at least make sure he's bathed every week) and take him out for walks(boo hoo for you kitties!).
If there's one thing Beau taught me, is that although growing OLD is mandatory, growing UP is optional.

cause he chose not to.
I can't turn back time or use magic to make Beau a puppy again, but I can relive what i did with him and that itself is magical enough.
I know he won't read let alone understand this but...
"Thank you so much for crashing into my life. You just made it that much more special! I love you buddy!"
