OF MINI MAGS, INTERACT CLUB AND OUTERSPACE SUPERHEROES.

Waddup dudes and dudettes! I'm back! Sorry for the rather inconsistent time interval between posts. I've been experiencing a pretty mind-blowingly hectic week. Everything was coming at me non-stop. Exams, assignments, folios, club activities, it was just crazy. Though I'm rather thankful for being kept busy because I really wanted to keep my mind off my jaw-dropping midterm results.

Anyways, amidst the few insanely busy weeks, a few friends and I joined this annual contest organised by our local newspaper company. Our goal is to design and complete a single spread mini magazine that surrounds the theme 'Speak Out!'. Here are our entries:

cover #1

spread #1

cover #2

spread #2

so what do you think? Convincing enough for a shot at the grand prize? which BTW is a RM25K scholarship each and an all expense paid trip for all to HK Disneyland. For us, win or lose, that's another story. What's most important is that we had a great time doing it, and we'll get free pizzas!

Also, term10/11 of the Interact Club is finally coming to an end. We had our Annual General Meeting last week and the bests of the bests are chosen to be part of the B.O.D for the term11/12. It's kinda sad having to leave all of this but at the same time, seeing the spirit and energy of our members and new B.O.D gives me hope that our Interact Club will thrive in the months to come and finally emerge from the shadows of the club-that-must-not-be-named.

Viva la Interact Club of Nan Hwa(ICNH)!!!

I won this weird little "bear-y" bank during the Interact Club egg painting competition in conjunction with Easter. The winners were just announced last week during the Annual General Meeting and I got the third place! =]

mine is the middle one on the 1st row of the tray!

Guess what, I watched Green Lantern last week, and boy did it sucked. I know superhero movies are tacky and occasionally lame but I didn't expect it to be that bad. The acting was lousy, the plot was predictable and some of the graphics were so unrealistic it made the movie seem as if it came out of Disney Channel. One of my worst movie experiences yet. Though not all is lost. 1st impression was great. The jet fighting scene in the beginning was really cool, kinda reminds me of the movie 'Stealth'. Also, I know this is irrelevant but, they got this smokin' hot actress, which was pretty much the only thing that kept me awake throughout the movie. Final verdict, a 2/10. And no, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Speaking of outerspace superheroes, I gotta run. Don't wanna miss the premiere of Transformers 3: Dark of The Moon. Will tell you guys all about it really soon. Keep posted!
