THE WEEK OF GIVING.

Hola people! Once again, I deeply apologize for not updating this blog more frequently.

So, it's the week of giving! Well a self declared week of giving at least. But that's not the point. You see giving is just as important as receiving, in fact it's way more important. And personally, I feel it actually brings more joy.

As we talk about "giving", some people might have the idea that it's just another yearly Christmas gesture or a token of the holiday's spirit. I mean who haven't, when they're younger, heard their mom or some elderly family member telling them that , "The spirit of Christmas is the spirit of giving" or "Christmas is all about giving." and countless other associated sayings. Well giving is not just applicable during Christmas, it's valid all year round and has no expiry date. Giving can come in the smallest of packages, even in something as simple as a hug or a birthday wish. Here, quantity isn't a contributing factor to quality, and that's the beauty of it.

It's the annual blood donation day in my school today. This time, it's organised by the Interact Club and the Buddhist Club. Turn out rate was awesome. There were easily a hundred students at one point, though how many people actually donated for real, remains a mystery.

Look at da crowd.

I did some blood donating myself. It was pretty scary at first seeing the size of that collecting needle, but considering the fact that I had live on this planet for over 17 years now, it's only right that I started giving. Just the thought of my potentially live-saving bag of blood makes me feel so good about myself.

"ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." "but I'm not even touching you yet!"

Anyway, to all those who a spared..... a bag of blood? a bag of blood, today, you guys were really awesome.

Also, I would like to snag this opportunity to wish my beloved friend a Happy Birthday. May your SPM result slip be filled with A+s(as if you need it though.)! Hope you like the chocolate I bought. It's imported from BELGIUM. Haha! Check out this Birthday boy's blog!

So I guess that's all for now. Remember to always give and only hope for happiness in return. The world needs more givers. Look out for the next post on last week's Interact Club B.O.D. Installation party! Latest by midnight tomorrow. Promise. Keep posted!
