Summer has came and passed, autumn leaves are already starting to pave the earth with it's magnificent shade of crimson and gold. Eager kids are seen with big smiles as they hurriedly made their way to the first day school after the long summer holidays. Squirrels are scattered in parks gathering nuts and acorns to prepare for the cold winter. The fall is so alive with joy and beauty it makes me wanna dance in leaf piles. Sadly, all of this exists only in the realms of my wildest dreams, because I live, in the middle, of the FREAKING EQUATOR..
Sorry about that. I was just trying to work on my descriptive writing skills. So, waddup peeps! September is already coming into it's 11th day and I hope you're doing all-alrighty so far. 1st of all, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the victims of 9/11 and the families involved. May God bless 'em all... moment of silence...
Right, back to the point. If you follow my tweets, you should know I'm in the midst of a major exam at the moment. So, contributing time & effort to this blog now is not exactly the best idea. But still, that's no excuse for not blogging.
Speaking of exams, there is something I really wanna get off my chest. A few days ago, I received a text containing these so called "tips" or "predictions" for my English test. I shrugged it off assuming it would be inaccurate. But, the most startling thing happened on exam day. The "tips" given weren't merely just accurate, it was 100% accurate, almost as if it was taken directly out of the question papers itself. Like this wasn't already bad enough, the same thing occurred for History. Ok, either the teachers(which the sources were obviously from) are psychic, or the questions were leaked. Some might argue that the syllabus covers a little too much to handle, and that there is still reading and learning going on as only some parts of the questions were given. But what about those who weren't lucky enough to receive these "tips"? Haven't you stop to think that maybe it's a little unfair to them? I guess most people are too selfish to give concern.
Anyways, summer has finally made way for autumn, and though Malaysia doesn't experience fall, we do celebrate it, Chinese style! Yeap, it's the yearly mid-autumn festival! Or more commonly known as the lantern festival. Exam trials definitely didn't stop me and a few of my friends from getting into the spirit. We took part in the event organised by the local Buddhist Association and boy it was fun, fun, fun!
Ok, actually it was kinda boring. But at least I won something for submitting the answer to a riddle which my friend solved. He was so generous that night he decided to let me have all the credit! See the lanterns in the picture above with little notes hanging from them, yeap, they are the riddles.
Fun came later that night, when we spontaneously decided to drive to Marina Island. As the saying goes: "It's not the destination but the journey.". My friend must have miscomprehended it really bad because we literally took the highway to hell. My friend's driving was so out of this world (partly I was the cause) that I nearly ripped off the grab handle. We sped like crazy, made illegal turns and beat traffic lights like, like they were there to be beaten or something. = = Miraculously, both the car and us arrived in one piece. Though, we had to leave early after some ice-cream because the driver's mom didn't want her out too late.
On another note, PARAMORE debuted their new single 'RENEGADE' at the Fueled By Ramen 15th Anniversary Concert in New York recently. 'Renegade' sounded really down to earth and authentic. Everything about it screams Paramore. For me, I felt the song filled the gap between Riot! and Brand New Eyes. I'm definitely looking forward to hear how their next album will sound like after listening to this.
Well, I guess that's about all for now. I'm not going to be blogging for awhile owing to my exam trials, so I apologise in advance. Keep posted though, I promise to blog immediately after my last subject. Oh, and to all Malaysians, happy Merdeka Day! Yay! No school on Friday! I'm ryhmay! Ok bye.
