How's it goin' people!
Life in college has been so far an amazing and eye-opening experience for me. Everyday is like an adventure and I absolutely love the city vibe! I'm meeting people, chancing upon unfamiliar scenes, learning different things and taking on new challenges, it just makes growing up a so much more wholesome process for me. I feel so grateful and blessed to be given the chance to experience all of it(thank you mom!), but in the end there's still no place like home.
It was a long and bumpy ride but I gotta say the second Sitiawan emerge on the windscreen with those unmistakably hideous swallow-breeding shop houses, floodgate of memories bursts open and drowned my mind with flash backs that warped me back to the days. I felt a surge of humbleness gushing through me and honestly I thought I was going to brake out in tears of joy, but obviously I didn't. Nevertheless it was definitely a sentimental moment for me. It is those memories and feeling of nostalgia that remind me of my roots and the importance of standing by and holding on to them no matter the circumstances.
My time spent back is currently only dished out among family members but I hope I'm able to make some time for my awesome homies too. I really don't wanna let them down but unfortunately I HAVE TO help out at the shop cause it's the festive season, and that takes a lot of time from me, which explains why I'm still blogging at this hour. Gosh look at the time! Ok let's get to the point quick. So the main reason I'm writing this post is to pay tribute to a very good friend of mine whose celebrating his 18th birthday today.
HJ is the most down to earth person you'll ever know. He's exactly what meets the eye and there's no hidden side. That makes him one of the few people you can honestly feel genuine friendship from and also one of the few people you can count on. I can cut all pretenses and be myself when I'm around him because I know he accepts people for who they are and never expect anything more from anyone. He the kinda guy that always see the best in people and don't judge based on other's weaknesses. Hanging out with him really makes you feel like the liveliest person. He has also been really helpful to me academically through out high school, just patiently explaining my questions and never show signs of annoyance or feeling disturbed when I asked too much. I just wanna thank him for being there and let him know how grateful am I to have a friend like him. Happy Birthday bud!
So yea I should probably sign off now if I wanna get any sleep tonight.
Thanks for reading,
leiwen.
